cta45_20251109.jpg (576k) Another view of car 45, at the head end of a 3 car train of 1-50 series cars at the Fox River Trolley Museum on November 9, 2025 also in this train are cars 40 and 43. Built in 1959, it went to the East Troy Railroad Museum with sisters 28 and 25. In 2009, 28 and 35 were scrapped, and their parts went to the Illinois Railway Museum. Car 45 was sold to Fox River, where it was in service until 2013, when it began having traction motor issues. It was repainted in 2025, and is being used as a control trailer during the Santa's Trolley Express event. (Photo by Alexandria Atkinson)
